Yes for a year. When I was a freshman in H.S. I didn't apply myself and only earned about 1/2 the credits I had signed up for. Then my sophomore year I did better but I was skipping out more. So after I got my drivers license and finished the year when it came time for school the next year which woulda been my third year I dropped out a few weks into it. My dad was a farmer and put me to work, said if I was man enough to quit school that it was time to start working and boy did I. 5:00 a.m. til whenever @ night. I hated it and wanted to go back to school but the folks wouldn't let me...more work to be done. So after a year of hard labor I re-enrolled and had to start again as a sophomore due to lack of credits. What contributed to all my problems was peer pressure from the friends I had, drugs and alcohol, and being bored w/school. I was overweight with low self esteem. After the year off I was so excited to go back I changed all my friends and started hanging out w/the athletes and got involved in sports, lost weight and cut down on the drugs and alcohol and skipping out. My grades came up from d's and f's to a's and b's I was popular and everything was easier than it ever had been before. I graduated 2 years after I should've and went on to take a year of college, but found I would rather work and make money. I had just about every bad influence you could have...bad friends, drugs and alcohol, low self esteem and a weight problem and boredom. Never again did I have that kind of trouble.

I dropped out of highschool for 2 motives ... i replaced into BORED stupid (i replaced into way too clever) and that i had a dysfunctional kinfolk and that i ran far off from abode. Please enable me enable you recognize that i'm no longer 'uneducated' ... i've got not got a extreme college degree or a GED, yet I actually have a Bachelor's of technology, a grasp's of technology and a PhD in Psychology. I went to varsity in a state the place all people could desire to bypass to a state college in the event that they have been over 21 while they utilized ... childrens drop out of highschool for many distinctive motives ... some are into gangs and doing drugs, some are bored, some get pregnant or could desire to marry and help a pregnant woman, others do exactly no longer care, some have dysfunctional families and could desire to run away to outlive ...

I quit school and got my GED I didn't quit to be dumb or lazy I quit got my GED and went to college FYI my GED didn't say GED anywhere on it it said Arkansas high school diploma =)
And I went to college as soon as I got it in I am going to school to be a registered nurse by the way
Mike hukabee closed down and consolidated all of The small schools in this state in my 11th grade year and the nearest school was hours away so I did it 1 for that reason and 2 I wanted to get into college and get more education done with graduate sooner get ahead if you will
looking back on it I don't regret it one bit I'm happily married my husband and I are youth pastors and I teach children's church I am currently still in school and I work here in the college as the evening librarian I love it and I don't regret my GED I am still furthering my education.

No I did not. Dropping our of high school is foolish. One is not ready for all the vicissitudes of life even after high school. Many a college graduate could not even cope with the world let alone a high school drop out.
Of course, not all high school drop outs end up badly. Bill Gates who is now a successful businessman because of Microsoft, was a high school dropout. But that is because he was way ahead to his class and could not stand to stay in with a bunch of no-gooders. He continued to use his scientific mind to forge through, and the rest, as they say, is history!

I didnt but my ex did. The thing is with most people that i have met they always have an excuse as to why they did. Noone ever says, it was hard, or i didnt like it. Always someone elses fault. At least in my experiences

I didn't....I know two people who did though.....one because she got pregnant, was scared how her parents would react, so she ran off, got married, and had the baby.
The other dropped out because he got a "fabulous" job offer, he has since gone back got a GED and gone on to college.

I didn't, but I think some reasons are because of their surroundings-like friends[drugs], if parents are involved enough, if there aren't parents at all, if they need to work because they need money to live.
