Ah, this is painful since I almost always find myself in the position of having to defend him to liberals, but Bush II is a disaster from a true conservative standpoint. He consistently chooses the wrong battles (witness the immigration debate, on which he has yet to make a good decision) and has violated every fiscally conservative principle known to man by never having met a spending bill he doesn't like. He panders to the liberals by spending in an attempt to be "popular" that will never work. It's only made his own party dislike him, and left us with a debt our grandchildren won't be able to pay the interest on. He's a massive disappointment!

All American Presidents have and had short-comings while they tried to keep the country on a level and progressive path. Since every President had the opposing party constantly striving to undercut his prestige, they were all fighting a losing battle.

To try to judge a President, of any party, we must first establish a norm to be compared against, and there is no such person.

America is such a difficult movement to manage that it is a wonder that we have survived so long.

I believe we should be thankful that our Presidents, who ever they were and are, have managed to keep us going and alive.

Keeping it to my lifetime....well, there have only been 4 Democrats.

While I have a lot of respect for Jimmy Carter, he was a very ineffective president. He refused to work with his own party's congressional leaders so was unable to get much done. But hard to fault him too much because the reason he was elected was that he was a Washington outsider. He needed a big Washington insider as chief of staff, not Ham Jordan.

But Johnson has to get the nod, dispite his progress in civil rights, for getting us in up to our asses in Vietnam and thus allowing Nixon to become president.

Lets see here, this is a tough one. I'd have to say... Worst Republican: Warren G Harding Best Republican: Abraham Lincoln Worst Democrat: Andrew Johnson Best Democrat: FDR

Lyndon Baynes Johnson. Democrat. He did sign the civil rights bill, but he did get us further involved in SE Asia. That snake of a man was able to make it look like Nixon was the cause of the war in Viet Nam, as soon as he got out of office.

I was a Republican until the Bush Facist made it impossible for real conservatives. So both Bush's are at the top.

To the reference with Carter. Sold a home I bought before Carter for 4 times what I bought it for and my wages quadrupled too. So the Cartr years werent that bad.

I'm an independent..

Dems- Lyndon Johnson for Vietnam
Repubs- Guess who? The worst prez in the history of our nation...that arrogant, lying, little snot nosed kid...Bush.

The one good thing about this...We will never see another Bush in the White House...unless Jenna promises every American a free keg of beer for their vote in 2024?

Well when the United States actually gets a president that is part of my political party I will be able to tell you. I'm a proud libertarian.

Jimmy "who" Carter was the worst President. He gave us 18 percent mortgage rates and attacked Iran with a hand full of helicopters to unsuccessfully rescue the American hostages.
