I think you are perfectly normal, but a lot of people are throwing out this generalization that all kids who have sex in their teens don't care about anything and so on and so forth...
What about me? I am an honour roll student who works hard with dreams and aspirations who happens to have a steady boyfriend who I have sex with. I'm 16...and it all depends on you. It isn't a big deal if you are smart about it and you're safe about it...don't just throw out generalizations about people, even if the majority of teens aren't mature enough to handle sex and the consequences that come along with it.
I also personally don't think you should be so harsh to say it's gross, I mean you said you are well into puberty, you sound like you're 12ish or 13 here because if you were well into puberty like say 15-17 your thoughts wouldn't be so closed about sex. You came from sex. Your parents came from sex. Without sex you wouldn't be here at all. Now I am not endorsing teenage pregnancy, nor that this is a reason for teenagers to have sex, this is just a point I am using to show you that it isn't something that is so "gross" as you say it is. You will eventually have an interest in it, and if you choose to pursue it then that is fine, just be safe and cautious about how and who you are going to partner up with. Sex is meant to be something that you ought to share with someone special and close to you, not something to be thrown away. That's the bottom line, and just like anything else in this world it's meant to be respected, just try to look at things a little differently. It wont kill you to.

I would say teens are so into sex because of hormones. and don't worry, I'm pretty sure there is nothing wrong with you. you will most likely develop more of an interest in sex when you feel you are ready. If you want to wait until you're married, its more common than you think, and abstinence is the only 100% effective method of birth control. I am 20 years old and i have several friends my age that are still virgins. Just don't let anyone get you down because you aren't interested. Wait until you're ready.

I'm not saying that you should go out and have sex, but it sounds as if there is something wrong with you. Anyone who is "well into puberty" and says that they never think about sex is either lying or abnormal. At this point in your life, your hormones should be making you think about sex. That's just how it works.
Sex is a perfectly natural thing. There is nothing wrong with it. People shouldn't have sex, however, until they are ready and prepared to deal with the consequences. Saying that no one should have sex until they are married is idiotic.

I think you are normal. I know how you feel. I don't want sex my bf does but I don't it's just a matter to know how to ignore ignorant and stupid stuff and listen to the important stuff. I think you should wait until marriage. The main reason why I think that stuff is becasue I'm scared of the consequences. But hey, if other ppls say to do and they are perverted and all those things you are sayin they are doing just forget them and focus on the the things that are MORE important to you.

Nothing is wrong with them. In many countries it is normal to have children in your teens. The issue isn't the sex, it is the complete lack of education.
Protected sex wouldn't be such a problem, it is because kids are having unprotected sex that is leading to disease and early pregnancy. This is down to a poor sex education in schools. We know kids are going to have sex, it's only natural, what we need to do is provide them with the education of how to do it safely, and the equipment to do it safely with. This would mean giving away condoms to kids at school.
That of course is just my opinion, but valid nontheless

I don't know why they are. I'm not. They lose focus of their studies and have no idea what is going on in the world, yet that doesn't bother most of them. They still obsess over dates and how to impress the opposite sex. And, frankly, it bothers me. If I try to point out some important things to a friend, he/she is too busy drooling over the flavor of the week.
And, then, if they can't have sex, they become incredibly depressed and act like they are the worst off people in the world, blatantly disregarding the 70% of people who live in undeveloped countries.

Boys REALLY think about it. Girls only think about it because that is all boys want. Don't worry about it. Sex is the last thing you need to think about. It is just a distraction to what you should be concentrating on which is school and just having fun. You have a lifetime ahead of you to have sex.

"...turning straight forward extensive-unfold products like a lamp into metaphors for existence and dying, rain as a sign of drawing close doom, etc, etc." ^^ That made me LOL. yet I completely get you, and in case you have faith it, I did that right comparable element while i began out writing. I study The Outsiders in seventh grade it grew to become into magic to me. What made it much extra effective grew to become into that it grew to become into written by making use of somebody who wasn't lots older than me! I knew I had to place in writing something high quality like that, something that grew to become into sensory magic -- basically what you're asserting. teen books have become a rigidity to be reckoned with. Vampires and werewolves have been first. Then shapeshifters, 0.5-breeds, and different fable hoo-ha. a pair of 12 months in the past I jokingly advised my buddy that angels and demons may be next. Cue books approximately fallen angels (2-n-a million!). that's purely rather predictable. to no longer say that all and sundry of that's crude, yet a good eighty%. each e book would not might desire to be deep and carry the significant to the universe, yet high quality thoughts may be extra effective. i desire characters who're genuine characters, you realize? i'm predicting apocalypse books are coming next. 2012 and all.

I think you should try it... plus, teens are really hormonal... their hormones are racing fast and they get turned on if the wind blows wrong, it has always been that way, always will, GET OVER IT! Society has made a big deal about it, and that's why you notice it more... Sex is a natural thing...it's actually a beautiful thing! I think you could benefit extremely from the expierience...
