He's not a debater at all, much less good on his feet. That's why, in general practice, the press and their questions are preapproved. That's not a Bush bash, that's fact.
So, in my opinion, he actually "massdebates" his brains and we all know where those are. Heck, anyone that smokes his way through a bloody business degree
and
goes into the Guard to fly, doesn't even LIKE to fly, AND gets daddy to get him out of his duty (the point here is, as a rule, fliers will do ANYTHING to stay in the cockpit) is pretty danged deadhead. I remember when he fell into the pond over here at the Broadmoor Hotel, drunken mess he was.

I don't think he's capable of one on one conversations. Even in the debates, he never once spoke to his opponents, he ignored the question and answered in his own Bushy kind of way. Clinton was a one on one man. No pun intended. But Bush got to where he is by using the power of the spoken word. He's speaking to thousands while thousands think he's speaking to them. When it comes to reaching the people, he's no dummy. When it comes to running a country, he's a dummy.
