what your thinking of is the fact that many people consider the old normal (black) him a different person than the new him. Such as in the video for bootylicious by destiny's child, they said they wanted to do a tribute to micheal jackson (the old normal him) and incorporated a lot of his old dance moves, but they made it sound like a tribute to a dead guy. Cause they consider them different micheal jacksons, they consider the old him "dead".
