Remember to breath, as soon as you feel a contraction coming start to breath deeply in through you nose and out through your mouth. This early on in labour you can take paracetomaol to take the edge off!!!
If worried at all call your midwife or maternity ward they will put your mind at ease.
As soon as the contractions start to come every 5 mins apart and last for approx 40 sec..... get to the hospital!!!!
If the pain gets sooooo bad that you just can not take it anymore then also go to the hospital.
But the most important thing is to listen to your body and trust your instincts..... they will seldom lie!!!!
You will soon have your bundle of joy and every bit of pain will be worth it!
I wish you the best of luck x

You are doing the right thing with the walking, aslong as you are close to the hospital keep going as long as you can. if the contractions are lasting more then a minute you should probably go up even if they are 9 mins apart, cause there is a good chance that you start pushing in the long contractions. Good luck hope everything goes well for you

Wow, 41 wks? I'd be begging my doctor to just induce me already! Are your contractions getting closer together, or are they still irregular? You need to monitor to see if they get closer, and if they do then you need to go back to the hospital. When I felt strong contractions, I would close my eyes and picture something nice like a sunny day or the ocean, and I would take big slow breaths. Don't tense up, just stay loose and calm and it really helps to get through it. Good luck, you'll be having this baby any minute now!!

You should be going in to deliver pretty soon. If you keep walking there's a good chance you'll go in tonight or early morning. I was 42 weeks and about to be over due when they took me in. Are you planning on getting an epidural for the pain? Try not to think about the pain because it will only make things worse for you.

As sure as eggs are eggs, this baby will come when its ready, so to help you relax, just think about that. Nothing is ever as bad as you think it will be after you have done it for the first time. I bet everyone you no has said that after they would do it again, so just chill as much as possible and breathe. As soon as the baby is born you wont have aminute to yourself, so have a nice bath and Breathe some more. LOL. Sorry babe. gud luck

sometimes instead of walking just relax and your body will take over especially if you are overdue sometime being too hard on your body will make it shut down. try a warm bath and then just lying and watching one of your fav moviesif you use all of your energy now you wont have any when the time comes to push. just try relaxing and your body will do the rest.

when you have a contraction- close your eyes and think "picture my toes picture my toes" it works, try to visualize your feet! but if the're 9 mins apart- i'd get my bag ready because you need to be at the hospital when they're 5 mins apart- goodluck! sounds like you will have a bundle pretty soon!!
