i went to the doctors to talk about contraceptive methods&within ten minutes i'd been given the pill injection&was outta there.i went home&told my sister who said she too that day had gone for injection but wasnt allowed it as she wasnt menstruating&so couldnt have it as they have to be certain that you're not pregnant.i wasnt menstruating&wasnt offered a pregnancy test.everything seemed fine but a few weeks ago i was vomiting, tired, heartburn, the syptoms i know as pregnancy as i have had 6 children already which is why i didnt want anymore.i did a hometest&discovered i was pregnant, after seeing my doctor i have now found out im 12weeks&was around 3 weeks when given the injection which possibly could have damaged my baby.although i didnt want another, abortions not an option at 12weeks.if i was tested before the injection&known then id of had more options.is there anything i can do as i feel medical negligence occurred here by not being tested for pregnancy 1st

ok, in the starting up, you won't be able to know on the prompt once you're pregnant, that's way too early to inform, and also you received't have any indicators until eventually a minimum of four-5 days earlier your anticipated era. that's too overdue to take the morning after pill, you want to take it interior seventy 2 hours of having unprotected sex. there is yet another abortion pill you may take, yet pondering how a lot hormones it pumps into your equipment, it has a lot of nasty uncomfortable area outcomes HPT's are precise from the first day of your ignored era, yet some can bump into being pregnant from as early as 4 days earlier your era. in case you get an excellent outcome that's more beneficial than ninety 9% precise, yet a unfavourable outcome is in undemanding words 50% precise and in case you nevertheless imagine that you're pregnant, wait some more beneficial days and attempt back in case you've been to have an abortion, it should be finished earlier the 14th week as maximum medical doctors don't like tearing a infant to shreds on your uterus at the same time as they're that good sized until eventually there's a medically valid clarification for it. they are going to carry out a D&C, basically, sedate you, then dilate your cervix with meds, and use an device called a currette which feels like a spoon with a sharpened area, and could scrape the tiny infant off your uterus alongside with the coming up placenta and as many of the liner as they can. you'll bleed and cramp for a number of days afterwards as you may with a miscarriage. There are a number of plausible down aspects to surgical abortion, including uterine perforation, an infection, progression of endometriosis, higher chance of miscarriage and stillbirth in next pregnancies and a 20% chance that the technique will reason uterine scarring which will ward off pregnancies in the destiny. you'll also spend some thing else of your existence questioning what that infant may have appeared like, replaced into it a boy or a woman, blue eyes or brown, darkish hair or blonde. What replaced into that's customary toy, and what may he or she be doing now in case you hadn't screwed up and allowed a doctor to rip her from her universe and throw her tiny body in a trash can to die on my own, undesirable and neglected. The guilt of murdering your unborn infant is a existence sentence.

Hopefully everything will be ok with your baby. If not, you could probably sue the doctor who gave you the shot for negligence. I would get a copy of your records from that visit now, just in case. If you win a law suit against them, it would help to cover any costs you may incur as a result of having a child with a disability or birth defect.
Good luck with 7 kids - I can't even imagine.

My Auntie had the same thing happen, but she went ahead and had a perfectly healthy baby, who has absolutely no sight affects. That was 10years ago though so you would think that drs would be making sure by now. I dont think there is anything you can do unless that child has problems then you may be able to get the dr for damages.

I am sure that everything will be ok!!!! Did your doctor ask you if you might be pregnant before giving you the injection? If not then you definatly have a case to sue for neglagence!!!!
I know your confidence in the medical proffession has been knocked but please be assured that they are not all the same. If you are worried then please speak with your midwife....if you then still feel unsure then seek a second opion!!!!!
Take care x

maybe file a police report or go to your health and human services and see if they will take a complaint on this.. everytime i've gone for contraceptives i was always tested to make sure i wasn't pregnant. that is bad on their part.
