The Republicans really didn't have a problem until 43 came along! They had a tight hold on Congress for 6 of the 8 years Clinton was prez. Clinton would have been elected if G** was running against him, especially in '96. Without term limits, he would still be prez if he so pleased. The American public 'busted' the Dems in '94, but Clinton was, well Clinton - a giant of a man, and most of America knew it!! The impeachment displayed the beginnings of the GOP getting ridiculous, simply using their majority to ram through a costly and frivilous procedure. It was a joke! BUT, it took 6 MORE years for the public to put the Dems back in control of Congress. If not for 43(W.), they might just still have it. Mind you, Gore would have been prez(and should have been) and Iraq would never have happened or Afghanistan. 'Nuff said.

It will take someone like Newt Gingrich to union the Republican party. Maybe Fred Thompson can do it.

GET RID OF THE NEO-CONSERVATIVES!!!!!
go for a true conservative, like RON PAUL. He will also attract democrats because he would not do anything like make a patriot act or spy on us, etc.
