go to this site www.divx.com and download the program package
then using divx converter (one of the program in the package) convert the avi into a dvd format
u can even watch the movie directly on ur computer using divx player or download it to a DVD and watch it in ur dvd player

It is VOB files with MPEG-2 inside. Don't think about it, if you are just a beginner, use DVD Flick Guide to convert and burn your files to DVD. It is all-in-one tool and free.
