Other ideas for fundraising, besides the excellent ones already given, would be:

1. Have a run--each runner is sponsored for so many miles/laps

2. Ask a local band to play a benefit concert

3. Have a silent auction/drawing--either have people place bids on items displayed or buy tickets and place in jars in front of items, drawing a winning ticket. This works well because you can ask several merchants for small items, which you are more likely to get than something big, like a plasma TV, and you wind up making about as much money.

4. Place donation cans at various businesses--works only if you check cans out regularly.

5. Stage a play - comedies work best--or a talent show--sell tickets.

I wish you had this club in my area sounds really cool. I'm glad your trying to help steer people in the right direction. Id go to some local businesses and explain to them what it is you are doing to help the youth and that you need more funding to continue. I'm shore there are many businesses that would be glad to donate $50-$200. If you go to a sporting goods store they might even be abale to hock you up with a crap load of stuff. Dont give up try evrywhere and ask to speak to the maniger.

I wish you luck...

Have a 50/50 raffle. Sell tickets for a dollar and sell a lot. The more tickets are sold the bigger the prize. The prize is 50% of the money raised in the raffle. You wont loose anything because you wont spend any money. And you can promote your sell and get more buyers by just telling them that the more tickets they buy the bigger their reward could be.

"Work" for your money, hold car washes and such, while the kids are washing, they are learning the value of money and the leaders can tell those getting their cars washed about the program. This helped the youth group I was involved in a ton. Usually Gas stations will allow you to use their water hook-ups for your hoses.
