man the fact that you even lift weights at the age of 16 is a good thing... 375lbs. is pretty good by any standards anyways, but u need to be careful, ur a young kid, and I'm sure theres a lot of stuff u dont know about lifting weights...It's not just about getting as big as possible. especially as a running back, U need keep ur range of motion, and flexibility better then anyone u know...cause it sounds to me that u want to be a big power runner, but that doesnt always work, u need to be able to move quickly, be able to push through tackles, and outrun people...i say keep up the weight lifting but get involved in something aerobic, like i play baseball and I swim every day, it helps ur stamina, joints, muscles, and even will help u run a lil faster...if u dont want to swim, get into yoga, don't be embarrased or anything I saw a thing about Mack Strong the Fullback for the Seattle Seahawks does yoga every day, and he's one of the oldest players in the NFL now...U really gotta be careful though, cause if u keep lifting and dont stretch right or enough and keep ur joints active u'll get big but wont be able to move very good...lastly, squats are good for your legs, but power cleans is what will get u the muscle mass, u probably know what they are, but just in case, u take the squat bar, and start with maybe 25 lbs on each side, be sure to use a back brace strap, u bend down and the key is to look up to the ceiling so that u lift with ur legs not ur back, or else u'll hurt ur back really fast...lift the bar up to ur thighs, rocking it back and forth, then with one motion throw it above ur head, and sort of jump into a squat like position and then straighten ur legs...ITS THE MOST POPULAR POWER LIFTING MOVE, THE ONE U SEE THE GUYS ON TV DOING... that will build muscle in ur thighs and calves better then squats...and be sure to to calf raises every day, if ur calves arent as strong as they can be u could pull a hamstring cause it has to work harder to compensate for ur weak calves!!! good luck, and send me a message on my myspace if u got any more questions, or if u have any questions about supplements, which I think ur too young to take, but if u want to take them, theres certain things u need to stay away from...most importantly is creatine, it works really good it builds ur muscles up, and helps not have sore muscles after a workout, but it stunts ur growth even if u only take a little bit, and ur still young im sure u got some growing left to do...

It's not bad if you are holding the correct form with your back straight and going down until your thighs are parallel to the ground.

I played soccer in High School and I was squatting a max of 650 lbs at age 17, but I started when I was 12. Playing football, you can actually hurt your speed if your legs get too big. Work out your whole body, you need it in football.
