Don't do it. There's only a certain amount they can take legally in coins. Not worth the hassle. Pay the man and move on brother.

There is a limit to the amount of coins you can pay in and an amount they have to accept. They could also sue you for any extra expense they had to incur to process the coins, if they can prove you did this out of malice.

Just pay the guys what you owe. Take the high road.

For monsters such as them you dont want to incur their wrath - pay them off and get them away from you ASAP.

They can refuse to take coins from you if they do not accept cash as a normal course of business in their location.

If they do take cash as a normal course of business in their location, then they have to accept whatever you give them, unless the bill is too large and they cant make change. Since you are giving them nothing but change, they CANNOT refuse it. BUT this is a FEDERAL law and not a State law. State laws often interfere with Federal laws and say that they can refuse to accept your business.

Make sure you have a witness with you to witness you giving them the cash and them refusing it. Make sure they also witness them throwing you out or asking you to leave the premises. Do so without making a scene.

Then take the cash and your witness to the first attorney you can find and have legal documents drafted up straight to the company in question that states in plain English your problems with attempting to pay them, what you tried to pay them, the fact that they refused to accept your legal payment to them, and the fact that now that they have refused your payment, you no longer owe them anything at all, and in fact, you are charging them for your lawyer's fees, which they now have 30 days to pay, or you will sue them in court for your attorney's fees.

Good luck sticking it to them!
