Well, no one has a crystal ball. It could be today, it could be in 4 weeks!! I'm also 37 weeks and I've been dilated 2cm and 70% effaced for over two weeks now. At first I got nervous b/c I wasn't even 35 weeks and I was scared I'd go too soon, now I just hope she goes by the due date:-) I almost wish they didn't check you at the apts because unfortunately being dilated won't let you know when you will go into labor, it just makes you go crazy knowing you are:-) The only way to know is by your contractions... and i have tons of braxton hicks all day, but they say... you'll KNOW the difference between braxton hicks and real labor contractions!! Just hang in there! I know it's hard!

You may have your baby now or be late. I was dilated to 4 cm and walked around like that for 2 weeks, so it doesnt really mean anything. With my first I was dilated to 2 cm for a month.

Hate to break the news to you, but I was 1 cm dilated with both kids for about a month. I delivered on my due date with my first son, and delivered 2 days past my due date with my second son...but both times I was induced. Also, do you know how thinned out (effaced) your cervix is? Contractions right now are normal...and you may or may not feel them (I never did). As hard as it is...just be patient!! Your little bundle will come when he/she is ready to enter the world. Congratulations, and good luck to you!!

I was at 1 cm for THREE weeks.
Take lots of LONG walks. That might speed things up a bit. But don't be disappointed if your due date comes and goes. It's just a guide, and isn't written in stone.

that all depends on you... if you want tp move it along walk alot clean up... make sure you have everything u need for the stay in the hospital... bring your own kotex the ones in the hospital are like diapers... although you will need heavy ones... few onsis outfit to bring home your little one... sox and hats for the baby.. if you want to bring the baby his/her ow baby wash you can do so... just make sure you are prepared. one centimeter can take a while but it may also go fast. the faster the better for you... trust me you dont want to be contracting forever but it can happen. if you want to have a full term 40 weeker then just stick it out. lay on your left side to prevent contractions from occurring so frequently... or like i said if you want to hurry it along do some walking...

Drink raspberry iced tea to put you into active labor. It worked for me.
