I say the Brewers. If Ben Sheets, Jeff Suppan, and Chris Capuano have solid years then the pitching staff looks strong. The lineup is also full of up and coming stars such as Prince Fielder. Fielder had a great rookie year batting 271. and hitting 28 homers.Guys like Richie Weeks, Corey Koskie, and J.J Hardy can help that offense. The outfield is deep as it features Bill Hall (35 HR, 270. AVG), Kevin Mench, and Laynce Nix. Being in a division where the winner only had 83 wins also helps. Expect Milwaukee to compete in the NL Central and possibly pass teams like the Reds, Astros, and maybe the Cardinals.

The Brewers will be the suprise team of MLB. Everyone is sleeping on them and they are in a pretty weak division. The starting rotation will be good with the addition of Suppan and a healthy Ben Sheets. Prince Fielder, Billy Hall, Rickie Weeks and JJ Hardy will only get better (as long as Weeks and Hardy stay healthy). Cordero is a decent closer, but the rest of the bullpen is the Brewers weakest part of the team. Turnbow has to get some confindence back after imploding during the back half of last season.

I actually think the Red Sox will do surprisingly WORSE than people are expecting. People are writing them in as a lock to win the East, but they still have to play New York a ton, as well as an improved Toronto team (who has a legitimate shot at the playoffs) and a Baltimore team that could give the other East teams fits. As of right now, the Sox' closer from last year is starting, their closer for this year has never closed, and Schilling doesn't want to play in Boston next year, which makes you wonder how much he will push himself should he get injured like he usually does.

Houston Astros probably, and i think the most disappointing team would be Boston or Cardinals or both. I think Houston Astros has a bigger chance of winning the world series (36%)
and currently has some good hitters ex: Lance Berkman, Carlos Lee, Morgan Ensberg (maybe if he recovers), Luke Scott, and etc. They even have good defensive guys: Adamn Everett, Lance Berkman, and Brad Ausmus. Pitchers too: Roy Oswalt, Jason Jennings, Kerry Wood, and etc (Houston Astros might have made it to the World Series if Phil Garner switched Brad Lidge with Dan Wheeler)

It has to be the Giants no one thinks about them but they are dangerous there pitching is good they have Barry Zito who will be even better in a weaker heating league with no DH.They have Matt Cain,Matt Morris all 3 of those guys combine to great carrier numbers of 228-152 and MC has only been in the league for 2 years. There hitting is good with Barry Bond's knees are starting to feel better he will become that scary hitter again,he is even intimedating before when he was not great. They look really good this year and no one is talking about them. They are also in the worse divison.

Watch for the Mariners. They play in a division that is as weak as any other in baseball, and with so many young players that will be in their second and third seasons, I expect a big improvement as they mature and settle into life in the big leagues. And most certainly they'd be a surprise after three straight last place finishes.

im going with the giants. i mean these guys just added barry zito to an already good pitching staff. even though they gave up jason schmidt, they still have matt cain, matt morris, noah lowry, johnathen sanchez, and they added former giant russ ortiz. they also have so much experience i mean they have randy winn, pedro feliz, omar vizquel and ray durham, not to mention old man bonds. they added benjie molina from the angels and brung back rich aurilia from the reds. i mean this team is the real deal and i think that they will show it this season, especially after they have added bruce bochy to lead the team.

I don't if it will be any surprise, but the Dodgers are stacked up enough to run away with the West.

Braves too, but again, is that a surprise?
