I know I need a TV tuner on my laptop but are these wireless?
If so, what am I watching? Is it from TV signals or from a special website from the internet?

And, are these compatible worldwide? MEaning, do they have special frequency where it can only work in the US? Can it be used on another countries?

Please provide which company makes these if they do exist .

Thanks

Okay well you need a TV tuner for you laptop; you would have to have a slot (pci slot) where you can insert it.

After you insert it; there's this spot where you stick in your Antenna wire. If it's a normal antenna wire; you get the local channels from wherever you are.

If it's a cable antenna wire from your house/hotel/etc. you get those channels.

if it's a Dish Antenna; you get dish channels.

And yes it does depend on where you are. If you want just local channels; some companies make the PCI card slots with built in antennas and you don't need an antenna wire to watch local channels (will work world wide)

The prices range from 40-100$

Companys that make them... Galore!!

You would have to have the make and model of your laptop; take that to your closest CHAIN retailer (Circuit City, best buy, etc) (that way you can return them if you realize it's not worth it) and THEY will show you what brand goes with your laptop.
