I have lost the sound on my Packard Bell imedia 5070 computer.... Does anyone know how I can restore it? Cheers

double click on the sound icon and if it says no mixer detected do the following

Go to start,
Control Panel,
Printers and Other Hardware,

On The Side Panel (See Also)
Click Add Hardware
Click Next
Let It Search,
When asked have you connected
Click Yes and Then Click Next
Got To The Bottom (Add New Hardware Device)
Click Next
Select The Advanced Option
Click Next
Scroll Down and Select Sound, Video and Game Controllers
Click Next
In (Standard System Devices)
Select Legeacy Audio Driver
Click Next, Next Then Finish

Done

Or The Other Olternative Is Reinstall Drivers :P I Have uplaoded them for you hope this helps

I had a similar problem but on a Dell. Not being computer literate I did a restore to the day before it went wrong and all`s been fine since.

As you are able to tell from the previous comments, p.c.. Bell are known with regard to the international as being unreliable. they have the worst recognition between laptop builders. look someplace else. despite in case you get an techniques-blowing value it nevertheless isn't well worth it.

have you checked the sound icon to make sure you have not muted it,if not go to programs,accesories ,volume and check it is not ticked for mute
