Thats a tuff one. I think I would just let him go and ignore him. because if I did something bad I would want forgiveness for it. Now if you saw himm selling coke to kids then yes call the cops. Truely I have had to put food on my table from people who dealt drugs and did then and when i didnt have a job. at least we had food. I dont think you should be friends with this person. but maybe you can be some kind of a positive support to him. A role model or a person to come to when hes had enough. I have seen babies in houses where theres no dad and the mom is doing drugs all day and that same baby grows up to deal or use. alot of times it like second nature to a person and is sad. like saying they knew better when truely they didnt. to them it feels safe and comfortabl and feels like home. Honestly its not our place to judge this person. Does it matter if its some doctor who comes into your shop and they do plastic sugury? or a politican who passes laws that hurt people for money? as long as you dont recieve any property from this person and you take cash only you should be fine. you never know just maybe they are like an old aquaintance i was in the navy with whom grandfather invested in microsoft when it was nothing and now they are rich. that same guy spent about $2000.00 cash on my wife and I in pensacola in a week. he then went a wall and said by to the navy. I know i run red lights from time to time and i always speed. a sin is a sin no matter how big or small and we all sin. do u really want to get him in trouble? do you think hes really bad? can you prove busting him will help anyone? are you jealous of his cash? these are thoughts id ask myself. then i just dont do anything if it dont feel right i wait. you have a buisness. he has cash. nuff said. recommend that he invest half of it at a credit union.

And what are the cops supposed to do? Did you see him do something illegal? They, the cops, need probable cause before they can do anything. (at least right now, couple more years of W and who knows what they'll need)

If you don't like the kid don't do the job. If the money is dirty all the better. If you're being unfairly judgmental, oh well, you didn't like him in the first place.

Well, you should report this to the fashion police. Bad taste is not a crime.

However, I know banks and many other places require that anyone handing them that much cash fill out some paperwork about where they got it. You could get a copy of these forms and make him fill them out. Maybe he's just a spoiled rich kid.

If you take the job then you DO NOT call the cops. And why are you judging him? Do you know for a fact that his money is not legitimate? Maybe he inherited it.
If you have an uneasy feeling then don't do the work.

I can't stand people like you. Why are you making assumptions? It is none of your business -- either help him or don't. If the money did come from some illegitimate source he will be able to make you pay dearly for calling the cops on him.

Who knows where he got the money from. Maybe someone died and left it to him. Bottom line, he's got money...you need the business...don't you?
