I couldn't get comfortable last night and got very little sleep. Now, i have a pain in my stomach and have had diarrhoea. I also feel nauseous and very tired. Is this normal or could i have a gastro infection. I have no pain in my back and my stomach hasn't dropped at all.

I have had a number of bladder and urinary infections during the pregnancy but haven't had one for the last 2 months.

It could be normal.....since you are so close to giving birth it could be your body preparing for the labor stage. If you have a real concern about it you should contact your doctor....after 35 weeks the baby can come at anytime.

Quite a few people tend to get "morning sickness" again toward the end of their pregnancy. It is time to take it easy, as you are almost ready to have the little one. If you are running a fever, or if the symptoms are bothering you, I would call the dr or midwife you see and ask if they can recommend something to help you feel better and get some rest. Main thing is rest at 35wks though... because you only have 5 more weeks or so before baby comes and you won't be able to get any rest.

You could have a stomach flu of some kind. The pain in your stomach could also be a muscle that doesn't want to cooperate. I was so sore at around 35 weeks because the baby was head down but kept picking his feet up to suck on his toes... and was pressing into the lower right area of my abdomen. It was like a deep internal bruise, and I could barely move my entire right leg because it was so painful. I even walked with a cane for a while. Luckily I've started to heal now... just in time to give birth... but the reprieve from the pain was nice to work on the nursery and make sure everything is ready.

Just relax. You're not in labor. If the diahrrea continues, see your doctor and make sure you're getting plenty of fluids so you don't dehydrate. Dehydration can send you into labor, and you're still a bit too early for that!
