HELP!!!!!!well my black 30gb ipod video isnt working. this morning i took it off off my ihome and put it in my backpack, and at one point on the bus,it froze. the backlight is not on, it still shows the song and stuff, the hold is not on, and the night before it froze up too, but i fixed it by plugging it in tot he computer. i already plugged it today into the computer, and it made that sound from when u plug something in, but it didnt know up on itunes. right now it is on my ihome, and its still frozen. any help/advice?

Have you taken it somewhere else and you accidentally dropped it to the micro(bottom connector) or anywhere else? Well. All I can actually say is buy a new one or hook it up to a frame called 'MicroClean' and clean it all out.

Well, you can reset the iPod by toggling the hold button and then hold play/pause and the center button until the Apple sign appears. This solves many problems with all iPods that have screens.

This happened to me 2 months ago. Sorry to say it turned out to be the hard drive crapped out. It happened to me after i started taking it around with me instead of just leavinng it hooked up in my truck. Might be time to buy a new one
