It can be just one of several signs.
I don't remember burning though. It was more like a dull ache for me that never went away. I literally wanted to move my boobs over and hide them under my armpits for protection. EVERYTHING hurt them. But every woman is different, so burning nipples might be a sign for you.

yes it can be a very clear sign of pregnancy... if you are late on your period, or your friend, take an early test... if you have already taken the test don't fret the pain diminishes after a few weeks... it will start up again as soon as you give birth and for a long while after... good luck to you!

I don't know about BURNING. Mine felt tingly and slightly sore. It hurt t wear a bra. Maybe you should ask your doctor this?

If you aren't pregnant (which you could be) it's probably related to hormones going up (like when you ovulate). If you continue to have it and you are not pregnant you should check with your Dr.
