Who thinks that? I have played goalie for all women teams before when their goalie didn't show. I had a lot of fun. I have had women on my teams up to the C league level.

There are some cute ones too.

Let's put it like this. The Canadian Women's International Team could play against a Canadian Major Junior hockey team so therefore it would be the best women hockey players in the world against a collection of teenage boys-not even the best- less than a handful per team would be good enough that they made their repective world junior teams and the women would get smoked. Even if they played contact free hockey-the teenage boys would crush the women. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

Dawn- Manon Rheaume played in a preseason game for the TB Lightning but it was nothing more than a publicity stunt.
Hayley Wickenheiser is the best ever woman player and she played men's pro in Europe but still she could not hold a candle next to a decent junior male player.

Women can play hockey too. I think the problem is mostly because there is no hitting or fighting in the womens game. It is also a slower brand of hockey. I enjoy watching a good womens hockey game like Canada kicking the Americans A**.

I dont understand that either. I've seen some girls that are either just as good as the guys if not better. I know this sounds corny but girls can do anything guys can. I love to play hockey, even though I don't play on a team I just play for the fun of it, and guys aren't the only ones who can tie up skates and get out on that ice and shoot a puck into the net, girls are just as good as guys and I wish there was a pro league for women.

While women do play a form of hockey, it's not the same brand as the men play. With no body contact, it's not even the same brand as most 11 year olds play. That's not to say that I don't enjoy watching it but it isn't the same when you can't step into some one and knock them off the puck. So does that answer the question?

I don't have a problem with it and never thought that way, it just seemed to me most Women didn't WANT to.

The beginner league I played in many years back had no objection to Women playing, there just weren't a whole lot, maybe an average of one on every 2 teams. Some of them seemed to lose interest pretty quick. The ones that did last for a few years had outstanding skating to compensate for the fact they were smaller and lighter.

Simple, no checking.

When the girls hockey at my school went to state, I was SOOO happy! The guys team at my school...not so much. Even though I believe girls hockey is DEFINITELY real hockey...all the guys were like, "Whatever...Its not real hockey anyway..they don't even check!!"

In my opinion, Girl Hockey players are great!

i dont think that.
even though i am a girl, i think that pro hockey should be left to the men though bc really we cant live up to them.
i think that people say girls shouldn't play hockey bc its a mans sport but i think really what they mean is that girls cant play hockey like guys do.
they are just more talented thats all.
