Depends on the teacher and how they are.
If you want a general rule, then "you can never win."
If you're too strict, that you're immediately labelled as a nasty piece of work.
If you're too leniant then they'll walk all over you like a doormat.
If you're too dull then you'll get called boring and are less likely to get students listening to you.
If you're too eccentric you'll get students taking the piss out of you.
You can't win, really.
If you want to be a good teacher, then just be real. That's my advice. You're going to be slated no matter who you are, so you might as well be yourself right? ;)

A teacher can be many things, loved, hated, respected and so on...it depends on the person - yeah honestly they can be real people. Some of them are a right pain in the ar*e and some of them are bullies who I wouldn't trust to teach my dog to sit up and beg - but that's just me. Some of them are just downright nasty pieces of work who should never be allowed anywhere near children. I used to be a teacher until a person I worked with undermined my confidence so much that I had a breakdown - however some of the kids I taught still keep in touch and that's lovely, I even get invited to their parties!!! So there you have it - a teacher is human x

It really depends on the teacher. I am a senior.. the teachers that I can relate to and have a good learning experience and still joke around with.. I really respect them / look up to them.
On the other hand there are a couple teachers that are complete pricks in my opinion and I just .. ignore them kind of.

Teachers in the eyes of their pupils are teachers, college educated professionals who must teach the curriculum charged to them to teach.
Teachers are not friends--as some students desire.
Teachers are not fun--as some students desire.
Teachers are not entertainers--as some students desire.
Instead, teachers must establish rules, which is not always desired by students.
Teachers must enforce the established rules, which is never desired by students.
Too bad.
This is certainly not a ten-point type of answer, but it is the truth.
Good Luck....

Depends on the teacher. I have some i'd go down the pub with. Others I have a great disgust for, and others who I feel sorry for, they should have picked another career.

It's someone who they can learn from... and pupils in the eyes of the teacher are the little black bits that dilate.

depends on the teacher, subject and students. I had a teacher that enjoyed breaking people's spirits because it made her feel powerful. I thought of her as a demonic B*****
