I'm sorry, are you saying that you DO have a clue?
What is your clue? If I may be so bold. Do you feel that your wealth of experience makes you somehow better than the lowly rabble that espouse liberal values to a jaded audience?
Or do you feel that an intelligent debate is called for? In that case bring it on! I'd love it. There is so much name-calling around here.
Actually I don't hear the fringe - I hear a lot of reasonable, intelligent people that want to make the world a better place to live in for future generations that look to face massive energy shortages, global pollution, and spiraling overpopulation.
I don't know who this "fringe" is that you're talking about. The only liberals I know are passionate about this world and want to make a difference.
Is that so wrong?

This is ground control to Major Tom. While asking for real discussion it appears to me there is an underhanded slam in there. You say liberal in one sentence and then they become the fringe on TV screaming in your next, nice touch. I find this forum filled with clueless people, what's new.

As you have (hopefully) seen, this place is a virtual cesspool of slurs, insults and trolling for trouble.
This is no college debate forum; it's a free-for-all and Yahoo has neither the software nor the staff to monitor this Pandora's Box they've opened.
There are people on both sides that "have no clue."
And then....there are grown adults....married folks with children....who come here for....get this..."entertainment."
They have no investment, no intention of solving any political problems or issues; they're just mentally masturbating.
Welcome to the wonderful world of Yahoo...

A lot of teens know more about what's going on in the world than you might think. We do tend to be more passionate about issues, but maybe that's just because we haven't yet been totally corrupted by a society full of people too concerned about their image to care about the world. Isn't is right to hate war, care about the environment, and want to change the world? If everybody else is just ignoring the issues, who else is going to care? And who else is going to give a voice to those who can't speak for themselves?

Kind of judgemental, are you? Some people believe that killing for any reason other than self protection is wrong. Where's the proof that that is what is happening now? Where is Osama Bin butthead? Is it really ok to send troops over to Iraq, where little progress is actually happening? Can you honestly say this is not a war about oil? I mean ol George started this war, and there is an interest for him, personally, right? There are alot of doubts about his morality concerning this war! I would rather have a president getting head in the White House than one who balks at the people of this nation who are requesting to end the supidity of this war. What has all the killing solved? 911 has still not been resolved, and thats what this was all about, right?

Where did you get the stupid idea that only bratty kids can be liberal, and only then because they think it's cool. I am 52 years old and I am a liberal because I sincerely believe in Liberal ideals, and I definitely have a clue, as you say! *sm*

You have absolutely no idea what the meaning of the term Liberal is.If you want to debate me,fine. But don't repeat the blatherings of Hannity,O'Reilly and Limbaugh.
Send me an email, ask me about progressive politics.I'll be happy to discuss my point of view with anybody.

I am kind of getting what you are saying...I know that the younger people make pre-mature opinions on Politics. And that is not a good thing to be in. But, I do know that they want to be heard to show people that they are in on the Political Views on society' but sometimes they only make the issue they're making more confusing....They need to study before speaking on a touchy issue!

Ditto! Big G! You really must spend a bit of time in the real world to know how wonderful you really have it. Being spoon fed your entire life does not give you knowledge-only dependence.

These silly little Liberal Kids will grow up to work for the Government, or will just draw Welfare.
Either way, we Republicans will be paying for them.
