I noticed that whenever I eat a lot of broccoli right before I get my period, my cramps aren't as bad. I read somewhere before that eating greens helps but I can't remember exactly what I read. If it does help, what in the broccoli helps it go away?

I doubt there is any relationship. You probably just weren't going to have cramps that month. Broccoli can cause gas and that could cause stomach cramps. I wouldn't eat too much of it.

Exercise during your period can ease the cramps. Also, USP progesterone cream can help. I use it 14 days of the month and I have no PMS symptoms at all.

I don't think it is known to help, but if it helps you, keep it up. Broccoli is very good for you anyway.

I don't think that is true...maybe you don't feel the menstrual cramps so bad because you are concentrating on the flatulence cramps.
