I am a child of the 80's and absolutely LOVE Weird Al. He is a legend. I love his song "One more Minute" It is the ultimate breakup song. I also love one of his more recent works "Don't download this song." His music is Classic. The world would be a lot more boring without artists who bring so many smiles to so many people. Just my humble opinion.

Just to first respond to an answer above...Wierd Al has been around WAY longer than White And Nerdy. His career has seen many peaks and valleys, White And Nerdy is just the latest peak, not why he is popular in general.
That said, I'm not a big fan of Wierd Al, but I don't dislike him either. Somewhere in between. I wish he could get away with actually bashing the people who sing the songs he parodies, but I suppose that's not kosher and would burn too many bridges. You know, rather than just making up funny lyrics, taking a more proactive approach and making fun of the artists and their lame songs. I used to have a tape of his, with New Kids On The Block parodies, and I think even Nirvana. Anyway, all in all, he's okay.

I like him, he's very good musically and he is very witty. I view him as a comedy act, though, not a musical act. He is the best at parodying music, and he makes me laugh.

no I think he became popular off of one song which was "White & Nerdy"....his music video is quite catchy...
