have a hot bath, also sex is supposed to bring it on, so if you can go have a bath and have an early night (wink wink)......congrats on the baby and hope everything goes well

I did!!! I went 2 days past my due date and was also scheduled for a c-section the following day. That night I started having slight cramping. Then they started getting more annoying throught out the night..By morning I could tell they were contraction. But my I had to be there anyways so there was no need for me to rush it because they weren't strong yet..But when I got to hospital and waiting in the triage(sp?) they started getting harder..But I made it to my c-section. But yeah there is always a chance of going into labor..

Are you dilating? Why the C-section? Is the baby breach?
If the baby is breach, you're having a c-section no matter what. If contractions start tonight and you go to the hospital, they will still take you straight into surgery.
If the c-section is for medical reasons that won't allow you to have a vaginal birth, just as in the case of a breach birth, it doesn't matter. Contractions or not, you're going straight into surgery.
Stay calm. Thousands of women have c-sections each day, and they all live through them.

There is a good chance you can go into labor, although I went 5 days past due before I did.

I was scheduled for a c-section,because my baby was breach...she did a 180 at night and I went into labor the next day....yahoo for me!!!...hope that happens to you, if that is the reason!!...goodluck

Hmm exciting undertaking. i grow to be 5 days late with my first baby. He grow to be born on a saturday. The thursday till now I had an ultrasound to be certain how huge he grow to be. They predicted his weight to be 10 lb 4 oz.. I begged them to set off me using fact i grow to be afraid of having no longer being waiting to offer him vaginally. He gave me a membrane sweep and stated he did no longer think of i could pass til monday for my next appointment. i grow to be already dilated 3 cm's for 2 weeks. That saturday my water's broke and that i went into wellbeing center 5 cm's at 4 am. by employing 10 am i grow to be totally dilated and pushed for an hour. His head would not come down my pelvis so the wellbeing care expert stated we mandatory to pass with a c section. He ended up weighing 10 lbs on the dot. My factor of it is you need to attend til your physique desires to pass into exertions as needless to say as a threat. the only way you will get a C section if that's an emergency or the being pregnant isn't progressing in sufficient time. stable luck you need to be high quality with an 8 lb 12 oz..toddler.

There is really no way to say for sure unless you have have consistent contractions!! Good luck on you delivery!! Congrats!!

You don't say why the c-section...can they not induce you?
