I think woman think about it more, like they can't let it go until its all over with. Men are better at just kinda putting it on the back burner. Not only that they are usually the ones who have to pay out...so well wouldn't you prolong it too??

This is incorrect. The best current statistics show the current divorce rate at 40-50%, and any fluctuation in this amount is due largely to mass population changes, such as the baby boomers growing older. If 95% are initiated by the wife (I haven't heard this, and it doesn't seem correct), its almost certainly due to the fact that men are the wage earners and have little incentive in beginning this process quickly.

Regardless of the % It is a proven fact that seeking the divorce comes mostly from women. What makes it easy for them is mostly based on a financial grain. If there is unhappiness in the marriage and talk of divorce, than the decision is easier!! if a woman senses a gain in her security.

It means more people need to think before they say I do. Divorce has become an easy out when things are not perfect. People are getting married for all the wrong reasons. The only reason to get married is for love. Not lust, money, tax benefits, gifts.... Just love. If people only got married when they were ready to and married for love, the divorce rate would drop rapidly. All these people who don't look before they leap are giving marriage a bad name.

Women are much more emotional. They let it build and build and one day, their women friends tell them they should leave and they do it.
It is emotion for women versus logic for men.

I know I left my first marriage because he was physically abusive to me. I tried counseling after the incident but he did not change.
