Africans were stolen from their country and forced into slavery many years ago for the United States and other countries. South Africa was a divided country for many years, there are still signs of racism there. Africa is a very rich and resourceful country, though the poverty rate is very high and it seems to affect only the black people. Sierra Leone, blood diamonds civil wars...

I think you're a little confused about a few things (Africa is a continent full of countries, not all of them are even predominately black), but I will get to the bottom line. Our ancestors worshipped demons and it has cursed much of the continent. Even now, hundreds of years later and thousands of miles away we are killing each other because we still live under the curses of our ancestors. And look at how blacks live in haiti... they openly continue the demon worship (voodoo) and have been completely impoverished unlike their neighbors living on the same island (the dominicans).

Until the curses are broken, nothing is going to help Africa, or other black people worldwide bound by them. If you want to see something change, start praying and getting as many people as you can to pray with you (to Jesus). Some whites have exploited a cursed people, granted, but that's not the root of the problem.

Well if you look at history, just about everyone alive has some connection to slavery in their ancestry so it's not just blacks that have been oppressed. Every situation is different with blacks across the world. Poverty in some African Nations is due to corruption of leaders such as the Nigerian government. Some are poor because of famine and wide spread disease. Not to mention brutal civil wars.

I myself am black, but I prefer that we not try and play the victim game of assuming that the "white man" is only on this earth to oppress us. Some Africans actually sold their enemies to the slave traders in order to not have to deal with them. You should also take note that being in America can be seen as somewhat of a blessing for blacks because our standard of living and opportunity for success is much, much greater than if we were left alone in Africa. We as a people should focus on that instead of the "poor me, I'm black" nonsense.

#1 Africans were sold by other Africans.
#2 Africa is not a country, it is a continent.
#3 Though there are many predominantly black countries, all of them are considered 'third world' and suffer from overwhelming poverty, disease, and illiteracy. Time to face facts, stop blaming everybody else for your problems.

I don't want to stereotype, but it seems to me that people of the black race tend less organized with their communities and lack the will to progress their civilizations. Which translates into an inability to defend themselves from more organized and advanced cultures.

The resources themselves don't make you rich--you have to be fair and savvy business people, and hard working minors to capitalize on them.
