All the advice here is good. But keep in mind that there are a few reasons to wear a jock strap - one being protection. If you need this for very physical sports, be sure to buy a cup as well.

Remember its your body and a jock is of much importance for a growing boy-manhood. Luckliy my dad got me mine and jocks were the rule if you play sports wear a strap like for basketball any other rough contact sport invest in a cup too.
As far the parents finding out well they actaully should feel glad you have taken the time to take care of your family jewels.

You can always go to the store and purchase the jock strap yourself. There's no need to tell your parents about it.

man, I felt the same way. Just tell your dad. Any guy knows a jock is the only thing that can get the job done.

Just tell them you need it for your PE class. They may worry if you get a g-string, but shouldn't have any problems with a jock strap!

if you have your own money just go to the sporting goods store and buy it........if not do you have another relative or older friend that you can trust to keep things on the DL for you?

JUST GO BUY ONE AT THE SPORTING GOOD STORE, IT'S NOT A BIG DEAL. YOU'RE GOING TO GROW UP AND THERE IS NOTHING THAT CAN BE DONE ABOUT IT.

If you really need one just buy it and act as if nothing has happened. if you catch any flack about it tell them you don't want a hernia.
