I am already 2cm dilated and 70% effaced and have been since week 35 (I'm now 37 weeks). I haven't not dropped yet though... could I still go into labor soon, or does she have to drop before I have to worry about going into labor?

Some women "drop" a month before, some don't drop until they are already IN labor.
What I'm saying is, it all depends on the woman.

Don't worry, you will know when you are in labor.

My little girl has dropped already, they confirmed it at my appointment today - I'm 32 weeks pregnant. I'm not dilated or any other symptoms though.

It's different for everyone, you can be dilated for weeks before you go into labour, and your baby can drop weeks before too, neither neccessarily mean you'll have her within the next few days.

Good luck, and I hope it all goes OK!

I had the exact same experience as Curious. I never dropped. My sister on the other hand, dropped about 6 weeks before she gave birth.

In my case, I never dropped. My daughter was sunny side up (or with her head facing the fron instead of the back. She didn't fit through my pelvis that way and I ended up having to have a C-section. Her head was a little coned from being stuck in my pelvers. Hope this answers your question.
