Everythime it rains or snow melts, our backyard becomes a mini pond. The grass barely grows back there now and it is all weedy. We can't mow it because its either wet or the grass and weeds are too high. A friend told me that I should plant a Willow Tree right there because they suck up a lot of water. Which in turn would allow us to mow and have nice grass. Is this true or is there a tree that might be able to live under such conditions and help? Thanks

She is Correct. I Planted a weeping willow near a Ditch that stayed full of water and the roots grew towards the ditch and sucked up alot of the water. They are also Lovely trees.

I have heard that Alder is very Good and Willow. Try to find out what is causing Swampiness. Put down a ditch to drain the water away.

I hate willows, they are a dirty tree. They have droppings all the time. We had 3 of them in my block, and now all 3 have been cut down, because they clogged up the gutters and left junk all over the yard.

How about a water maple, instead? Maybe a birch, they're pretty.

this is referred to as the tough yet you have heavy tough that's areas that are no longer mowed or landscaped in any respect then there is easy tough that's the section only off the golf green that has the grass cut back yet no longer very short and rabbit holes etc are left then there is the golf green that's a grass section this is mown and rollered so a great lie of the ball is only about assured you will get some undesirable lies from divots no longer being replaced and animal injury yet whilst your ball is on the golf green then it in lots of cases is a good shot
