Can you think of anything in your home or yard, that you can give a guinea pig. I know they need things for their teeth, but I am having a hard time finding anything in the stores.

You don't have to always buy something that says Guinea Pig chew toy or whatever on it. You can get other small animals toys, you just have to be careful about what you buy.

Wooden bird toys are good,
wooden rabbit toys,
wooden ferret toys,
wooden hamster toys,

Are all good toys for a Guinea Pig to chew on. There are food chew sticks that you can buy, though it isn't recommended to give that to them all the time. As they can get fat off of them, and with them you have to make sure they say Guinea Pig on it.

Dried out bread is good. I use that for my girls, along with wooden toys for them to chew on. Wood from an Apple tree is good, just make sure to remove the bark. Hard woods are good as long as they are untreated and smooth.

Good Luck to you and I hope these helps.

We have had rats, mice and hamsters and they all had chewing problems. We used a stick and gave it to them, but it didn't really work. So we went to the pet store (Petland) and they had these fruit smelling and fruit shaped nawers so we bought that and a salt wheel ( it hooks to the side of the cage and they chew on it, same as the nawers)
So I would recommend sticks, a salt wheel, or some fruit shaped nawers.

untreated wood. some bird toys (as someone said) are really good, because they are colourful, and treated with animal-safe dyes, so will not harm the guinea pigs. :)

Wood blocks are the best, and you can also give them bird toys to chew on, just make sure they have no plastic.

Those large dog biscuits are good for them to gnaw. Just make sure you get the big ones!
