i enjoy sophisticated fantasy. it's kind of a genre i made up. it would include books that are not little kid fairy tales; instead, i like books that incorporate advanced vocabulary and plot, with a bit of fantasy thrown in for good measure. such a book would be Inkheart, a great book i read over the summer.

My favorite genre is the genre I write in - a combination of mystery/crime and thriller with more than a touch of erotica thrown in. I dont think anyone writes in one genre anymore. All writers tend to blend genres these days, and I think that's just great. I love that type of writing because I constantly write myself into "corners" that I have to work out of which is a great challenge and also because it requires a great deal of research and experience to really do well. In fact, I am about to get certified with a pistol just so I can see how it feels to shoot a gun and hopefully spend some time with the local ME learning about autopsies and forensics. You never stop learning! C.

I love sci-fi/fantasy and also post-apocolyptic novels. All three types stir my imagination. I like books in which the plot is close to being believable, but with some elements beyond what's realistic.

I love fantasy/scifi. J.K Rowling and some of the writers from www.elfwood.com got me into it, and I've read that genre ever since! :D

fantasy/ mystery. The mystery keeps you on the edge of your seat and the fantasy makes it interesting. Together they make a great combination! Of course if it had some romance and adventure that would make it perfect!

Science-Fiction/Fantasy.

Why?

Because I love creating futuristic worlds and storylines which connects the readers to my work. I also love to experiment and see where my plots will go.
