I rarely have the zingy come back... folks often call me Blonde... but affectionately (I think!!). I have a cousin who is damned near impossible to get one up on. She has the kind of humour that can be unkind (she holds back nothing), and talks incessantly.
One night she asked me to colour her hair. Her hair is short... the entire bottle of colouring was not needed. When I explained this to her, she said (with a mean look on her face), "Well... You better do it right. Find something to do with it! Put it in my hair... NOW!"
"Well," I said, "If you don't stop being so bossy, I'm going to flip you over and do the other end, so at least your cuffs and collars match!"
Oh... did I mention that I am a teacher and she is my principal? One gaping fish faced moment later, she started to laugh... Thank god!
