Sets as in exercising just to clarify.

It depends on how intense you're working out. If you're doing 8 reps at 75-80% of your one rep max, 1-2 minutes is sufficient for recovery. If you're doing 2-4 reps at 90-95%, than more time would be needed to recover, probably around 3-5 minutes.

Just make sure not to over do it. I'm currently recovering from what appears to be a torn bicep.

When getting ready for work a reached down to dry myself off after a shower and heard what sounded like someone tearing a phone book on half while pulling their boot out of mud. This was then followed by a "pop", now my right bicep is about twice the size of the left. There is also a reddish bruise appearing..

So again... don't over exert yourself !!

Only a minute or two. Just long enough so you can catch your breath and give it your all next set.
