i love the song false pretense by the red jumpsuit apparatus, but what is false pretense? what does false pretense mean?

Yes RJA is awesome, I love false pretense and Damn Regret alot. My favorite song is justify.
Note: I'm on the friend list of that myspace fan page above. It's cool and they ask questions and stuff and if you answer correctly you get pic and page comments and stuff. It's cool.

It's basically to pretend something that's false. To extract money from your father under false pretences, is to lie to him about the reason you want the money.
