I found this hamster under my oven and kept it as my own. recently, its right eye started to clog with something whitish and i take a damp warm bounty and gently rub it against it and it removes it... for a little while.... what should i do?

Thats cool how you just found a hamster in your house...It sounds like its just one of those hamsters who has runny eyes, and the runny stuff just sticks to the hair around her eyes. I had a hamster like that, most of the time one of her eyes seemed to always be closed shut, you should still research it to make sure it isnt an infection, but sounds like what i said

properly, those eye issues take place to quite some hamsters. I somewhat have a pal whose hamster, Peanut, had his eye somewhat fall out of that's socket, and purely cling there related to a some veins. some weeks later, it grew to become into back in. So your subject with RJ is maximum in all probability temporary as Peanut's grew to become into. that's no longer some sickness or something, yet hamsters do have susceptible eyes, sockets, and lids. or maybe that's purely sealed with eye fluids or crust: the two way, he would be advantageous after a at the same time as.

yeah, the hamster just has a small eye infection. either take it to the vet and get the appropriate "eye cleaner and antibiotic cream" (which is recommended) or just take a simple "drugstore eye cleansing solution" and rub its eye out with it.
