My period was about 4 days late, so i took a pregnancy test. Actually i took two different test. I didn't believe it when the first one showed up positive. I have my first doctors appt. this Thursday. I'm both excited and scared. What should i expect from my first doctor visit.

Congrats. They'll take urine and do another test. They'll probably take blood for several tests. They'll ask you if you know the date of your last monthly and go over a list of what you should and shouldn't do. You'll get an exam to check and make sure you are pregnant. They'll ask you if you have any questions. That's about it. But, that's a lot. Make a list of any questions you might have beforehand, it's easier than trying to remember on the spot.

On my very first visit after my positive test all they did was give me another test to confirm the pregnancy. Once they did they I had to go get some blood tests and I got my prescription for pre-natal vitamins.
My second visit is when they did the internal and breast exam.

Yes they will redo the test and ask for the first day of your last period. Just regular stuff I dont think that I had an exam on the first trip but ya never know. By the way congrats.

I would imagine the first thing they are going to do is re-do the test to confirm.
