Our son said the same thing that he wouldn't do anything foolish. Yet in Nov.
1997 our son who would now be 41, committed suicide. I know that sometimes
things can seem so bad there is no way out, but life is a gift. If you actually did
commit suicide it would leave your family and friends devastated. Parents, family and friends wonder--where did I fail? It's painful. Please seek help from a reliable source. You need to get to the bottom of why you feel this way. God Bless you.

The feeling come and goes. Just get your mind off the subject when you think of it. Don't worry too too hard that it comes to mind.
That said, you might want to have one appointment with a mental health professional, and talk about every last little thing that might be a mental health symptom, and see what s/he recommends.
