i heard on sprtscenter that there is a new ncaa rule saying that freshmans must stay 2 years in college before going to the nba, is it true?

The rule is that the player must be at least 19 years AND at least one year removed from high school. So, if a player was held back a year early in his life and was 19 upon graduation from high school, he would still have to go to college for one year due to the having to be at least 1 year removed from high school rule.

I think it makes the NCAA's much more awesome though. Durant and Oden would've been in the NBA this year if it wasn't for the rule, along with a lot of other players.
