i went to my doctor to have my marina coil removed after 2 and a half yrs, which was ment to be a 20 min appointment, when the doc pulled at the strings it hurt alittle then she tried again still hurt more my coill had got stuck in my cervicx, so i was sent th the hospital where they tryed pulling it out the pain was excruciating i did cry iv been through child birth with no pain relife this was bad, i nearly passed out, any way i ended up having to go under a general to have it removed, will this effect conception and how do i know when to start as i hav'nt had a period for 2 & a half yrs how long does it take for things to go back to normal.

im sorry for the pain that you have gone through. There have been women who say they have gotten pregnant after they had theirs removed.

With your situation, you should talk to your OB.. just because there were complications while it was being removed does not mean there was damage done that is either a. lasting or b. cannot be repaired. You have to wait to see how you heal so the best thing you can do is follow your doctors orders to the "T" if not going a extra above and beynond to make sure that things attempt to heal correctly.
