The AT signing was huge for an aging defense as well as Balt getting a runner it can rely on. I'm going to go down a different path however. I think the Chargers hanging onto Dielman is huge for the chargers O-line which was the best last year. The line is now signed until atleast the 2009 season and should be opening holes and protecting the QB for a few more years together.

So far it has been the A. Thomas signing he is a great contribution to the Pats he's going to become a even greater player being in the Pats and also he will work well with the 4-3 defense that the Pats have.

Here's one that got a lot of attention at first, but got lost in the mix when free agency took off, but still was a great move by Savage and thats picking up Eric Steinbach for the Browns...another great one was the addition of Jamal Lewis, with such an iffy offensive line the Browns needed someone who could run right through tackles, that was the hopes with Droughns, but unfortunately (and frequently for the Brownies) injuries were a constant obstacle.

Bly to the Broncos...

Why?

Now they have TWO... yes.. TWO of the NFLs best in their backfield.. then lynch as a safety... they should draft a defensive end.. then their defense is set....

I say it's the best pickup because you now can eliminate every single QB in the league's passing to most extint.. you'll still have catches.. that happens... but there will be few... then they also have the speed to run up and stop the running short.. That eliminates the other team from scoring, then allows the bronc offense which has never been a slouch to take over and get those points..

Also the team that picked up Banta-Cain will improve greatly.

Thomas Jones is a sleeper for the Jets...that team will be better if Pennington stays healthy.

I think the team that got the over the edge deal was Baltimore with McGahee.....They are going to be real tough.

how about the signing of Ovie Mughelli FB from ravens and Joe Horn to the Atlanta Falcons.

Ovie is the best blocking fullback in the league and have norwood and dunn running behind that big beast will be unstoppable.

Horn opens up the falcons wide receiving corps and will help contribute to the 4 wide receiver spread petrino offers the offense.

GO FALCONS!
