I had a blown head gasket and got it fixed by a mechanic, but after the repair I found oil leaking from head gasket. Does it mean the repair was not done properly? What should be done to fix it? Just seal them with sealant or need to replace the gasket again? The mechanic is not friendly and I don't think he will change the gasket. It is really a waste of my money and time to deal with him.

I went back and he did change the valve cover gasket, but he said the lead was from a plastic semi-circle thingy so he will reseal it. I will get it back few hours later. Will update after I get my car back.

I meant he said he did replaced the valve cover gasket when he did the head gasket. Just that the plastic thingy was not sealed properly.

It appears that the bolts were not tightened properly, he just re-tightened them. Will this actually affect the engine?

If the head gasket was at fault you might well have more than oil leaking - coolant might be getting into the oil, or loss of compression and white smoke in the exhaust are tell-tale signs of head gasket failures.

However, valve cover gaskets do leak quite often, especially if they were not replaced when the head was pulled and simply reinstalled as-is. Also if the valve cover bolts aren't tightened evenly when installed they can sometime develop a slight wrinkle and not seat properly - hence the leak.

Find the oily spot, wipe it down then run the engine and see where the oil is coming from.

It's hard for me to believe that a man does not have enough pride in his work to fix this. Or at least speak with you about it. Head gasket or valve cover gasket this time? Replace the gasket that is leaking & any other one you have to remove to get to the leak. Good luck.

check the valve cover gasket for tightness or replace it, thats what your problem is, the head gasket is not leaking oil.
