Stone Cold. He would have won more Titles than the Rock had it not been for his injuries. Stone Cold revived the WWE in the late 1990's. If Stone Cold was active, he would have won 8 Titles or even more. If you add up all 6 of Stone Cold's Title reigns, they are longer than the Rock's seven. So, Stone Cold by an eyelash.

Stone Cold - no contest! He had the look, the gimmick, the smart, the mic skills & in-ring ability.He could fight all night & still come back.
He turned the WWE's fortunes around when it was unpopular & started the "Attitude Era" of the mid-90's.He could work an audience like no other with his "gimme a hell yeah!" & having the ppl say "what?" to his every word.
He was a gifted wrestler who held the title on numerous occasions.Plus he's been involved in some classic match-ups v Vince, Shane, Undertaker & Mankind.Such a shame he had to retire early due to his neck injury.
The Rock can't hold a candle to him.

The Rock in my opinion is the best wrestler ever. He had good wrestling abilities and was very charismatic. All of his matches were great to watch and he is also one of the funniest wrestlers ever. Because of him wrestling became a lot more popular and he was involved in a lot of the best matches from the attitude era. His impact is clear in the WWE today with 'Smackdown' still around and many wrestlers also try to be like him. Austin was a great wrestler but I don't think that he was as unique as the Rock and also he wasn't as charismatic and that was an important feature in the Attitude era, but Austin is still a WWE legend.

Stone Cold, The Rock was too nice. Austin always had that unpredictable element (well, as unpredictable as wrestling can get!)

stone cold! although the rock has charisma i've never been a fan of the rock because i've never liked his ring style. stone cold has it all, and at least his finisher isn't some crap elbow

the rock was funny and dud the eybrow thing, but in a REAL wrestling match , not the predetermined outcome set to keep the storylines on track, then stone cold would win, he has more bruute strength and power moves.
