You may have to ask your doctor what he prefers, but mine never said to take any jewelry off. The only thing I took out was my belly ring at four months, because I thought my belly button would pop out but it never did. I was told that I'd have to take all the jewelry off if I had to have a c-section, but that's because it's surgery.

My generic practitioner by no skill advised me to do away with my wedding ceremony ring. in spite of the indisputable fact that, while my hands began to swell to the element that i could no longer take it anymore I bumped off it. of direction almost immediately after i offered a hoop a million a million/2 sizes greater that actual suits. i'm at present wearing that on my ring finger because of the fact i've got faith unusual no longer wearing a marriage band in any respect.

It's because you body tends to swell. Make sure you take off all of your rings. I had a friend who thought it would be OK to put her wedding ring back on a week after giving birth and a couple hours after she put it on her finger swelled and she had to go to the doctor and the almost had to cut the ring to get it off =)

You can leave earrings in, you'd just want to make sure they're studs or small because you may be moving around in labor and don't want it to get stuck on anything and pulled out- OUCH! I wore my wedding ring, but anything else should be removed. You won't need it, it could get in the way or lost.

Yep and I don't know why. My belly button grew back together after my doc made me take mine out. I had it in 7 years before I got pregnant, I didn't quite understand why he made me do it. Now I have two holes for belly buttons.

I had an eyebrow ring when I delivered my daughter and I wasn't told to take it off, I kept my wedding band, necklace and my earrings on too.

i think it depends on how much fluid you have in your body, but personally i would take it off because i wouldn't want to add any pain with the child birth pains.

I think it must be up to the doctor, because mine even told me it was ok to leave my bellyring in as long as I was comfortable.
