Wayne Gretzky with 894 goals. He also owns the record for the most goals in a season during the 1981-1982 season with the Oilers when he scored 92 goals.

Wayne Gretzky holds the record for both single season as well as career totals for most goals. His single season record is 92, while his career record is 894. Good luck in school friend!

If you mean in a career it's Gretzky with 894, in a season it's Gretzky in 1981-82 with 92, and if you mean in a single game it's Joe Malone with 7 in 1920.

When you answer this in school, you might avoid the "who shot the most goals in hockey" with "who has scored the most goals in hockey." Impress them even more by throwing in that Jari Kurri and Reggie Leach share the record for most goals in the play-offs with 19 each.
