Well, Bush and his neocon allies have corrupted the way the House runs, involved the US in a couple of wars that it has no hope of winning based on evidence that would be thrown out of any court in the country.
Someone who loves democracy might object to that.
Then again, Bush and Cheney have enriched their patrons at Halliburton so much they had to leave the country to avoid paying their fair taxes on the largess they received, and keep a group of black operators similar to Nixon's to get their enemies real or imagined, like the CIA operative they outed.
Someone who loves their country might object to that.
Probably, though, Maher dislikes the fact that Bush stole an election and, when his administration was going nowhere because the people were so angry, Bush led a lynch mob to Iraq to look for a man who wasn't there in a successful attempt to distract the moronic American public.
Anybody who loves truth might object to that.
What about you? Does George the Second deserve a free ride? Do you love democracy, truth and America less than Maher does? If you can make excuses for the Bush League, I bet you do.

I really think it would be a mature approach to differentiate hating a person from hating their policies/thinking their policies are not good for the country.
As far as I know, most people do not hate Bush as a person or wish him ill. In fact, they wish he would retire happily to his ranch and just be a simple cowboy.
Yet they dislike his policies, actions, disregard of the Constitution, harm he has done us abroad and at home, starting of an unnecessary war, etc. vehemently.
That is the case with Bill Maher. He disagrees with Bush's ACTIONS and BELIEFS. That is not the same as hating a person.
P.S. to Kitten: he didn't say that at all. Joe Scarborough was sitting right there and did an entire segment on his show about how Bill was being misquoted. Do more research, please.

Ann Coulter is supposed to be a legitimate 'journalist' and referred to John Edwards as a f.....Bill Maher is a COMEDIAN.....do you see a difference here? I do. Neither was right but I beg the question...whose was worse? At any rate, Bill Maher is a comedian who comments on politics and is paid by a cable network called HBO....do you get your politics from the Sopranos? Bush made his bed now he has to lie in it.

Because he knows he's a no-talent hack and the only way he can get anyone to watch him is to constantly say outrageous things about the President to attract the simpletons on the left. You really should watch him once. It's good to know the idiots out there.

Because, unfortunately, people who preach tolerance the most can only tolerate those who agree with them.
EDIT: Hey, Yogini - Ann Coulter is not a journalist and does not claim to be. She write editorials utilizing satire. Some think she is funny and some do not. But no one claims she is a journalist.

Dictator Dumbya is a NATIONAL DISASTER... no secret about that and no genius required to see it. You just have to be honest enough to say what you see. I give Maher some SMALL credit for arriving there SOOO late.
