well, i had the same situation (i've danced for 9 years now) and all could do, was first, pop it out, then ice it constantly, then instead of the splint, keep it wrapped real tight (the pressure should hlp a little) and take some advil or something, also wiggle it and stretch it, hit me back for more detailed info if ya need it like timings and everything.

Time!
If you went to a doctor, most likely they recommended ice/cold compresses, anti-inflammatory meds, and a splint.
There isn't anything more you can do right now except to make sure you don't re-injure your finger.
I know that's not the answer you want to hear, but unless your Wolverine from the X-men, time is the only thing that will heal it for now.

I jammed my finger a while back ago. Just put some ice on it to keep the swelling down, and theres not a whole lot more you can do except to give it time to heal. It only took mine around two weeks until it healed.

Healing takes time. If you're not willing to wear your splint, take your anti-inflammatories and follow doctors orders, then the problems you have down the road will be your OWN fault. It needs TIME to heal and for you to take it easy.
