is it possible to insert children pictures in a web-site?

my host-family asked me to create a web-site for them children. I herad that i can't expose children pictures in internet, is it true?

You can have children pictures on the net.
Just the child can't be exposed in the photo, and sometimes you can get away with that, in a non-sexual way. (nudist camp)
It is not a good idea to have there full name and address.
And of course you should ask permission from guardian and child of each photo.
