I don't know about a "majority", but I do know that they will continue to act as the primary misinformation wholesalers for the Republican party until regulatory agencies start penalizing broadcasters for knowingly issuing forth false facts and engaging in hate speech.
If you look around, you'll see pieces of Limbaugh, Savage, Coulter and Hannity's rhetoric all over the place. It saturates our political discourse to the point where the idea of a "liberal media" is so absurd, it's laughable.
On edit: aww, conservatives are afraid of a little regulation. Right-wing broadcasters know they're up a creek without a paddle once the Fairness Doctrine is reinstated.

I don't know if they represent a majority of conservatives but they sure scare a lot of liberals out there. So much that they tried to create a radio network out of nothing, and that's exactly what they came away with, nothing.
I guess you could say that their "influence" has negatively effected progress in our country if you consider a liberal takeover progress. I think overall Rush has had the biggest effect on conservative politics by letting people know that their opinion is being represented and that there are others that share those opinions. Whether or not you agree, you have to admit that Rush came from nowhere and is now the biggest conservative voice out there. Who on the liberal side can say that?

while the Republican occasion can locate some sturdy applicants who experience as strongly on the subject concerns as Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and O'Reilly and a few others, then the Republican occasion will regain potential. of direction, they then could desire to be prepared to stand up for those ideals, and not backtrack. perfect now, the Republican occasion management has gotten in its head that the perfect thank you to win elections is to be greater like Democrats. this theory has been promoted by way of (of each physique) Democrats, and Republicans are dumb adequate to have faith Democrats in management positions actual opt for to help Republicans win. Republicans took the advice of Democrats and the liberal media, and nominated John McCain as a candidate for the Presidency. We see how a procedures that went. as long as Republicans think of the media and liberals attempt to help them get elected, Republicans will by no skill win back. quite, anymore there is not any difference between Republicans and Democrats, the two are a procedures left of the place maximum human beings stay there lives. a appropriate working occasion, i'm registered as a Democrat, yet i did no longer vote for Obama, and can by no skill vote for him. Why? because of the fact, i'm a "Bible hugging", "Gun toting", "God loving" conservative.

They have opened a lot of eyes ..something the biased liberal media will never do : Be truthful no matter what ..Positive - until Ann Coulter gets fed up and throws back a taste of the liberal hate she gets daily ..
You can not say one person represents the thinking of all - but more & more people are waking up to Ronald Reagen's revelation that this party is not the same Democrat Party our grandfathers knew . Too bad only a few are not afraid to tell it like it is ..even though Hillary & her stormtroopers are in fact trying to stifle talk radio..just as they seek to stop the instantaneous flow of info on the Internet . The truth seeping out scares these left-wingers like never before .

No I do not. They represent the far right conservatives' views. I truly believe most conservatives' views are not as extremist as those of these blowhards.
I'm a democrat and have many conservative friends, and their poltiical views are not as radical as those on the far right. Some of them do though like to good-naturedly push my buttons to get a rise out of me or an argument, but I know they're not being mean-spirited about it, totally unlike Rush Windbag, et al.

Hannity, O'Reilly, and Limbaugh are all ENTERTAINMENT, and they're the first to admit it. They go off the deep end conservatively and people enjoy listening to it. Their primary job is to gain as many ears as they can so that they can deliver their commercial messages in between the entertainment.
They've made a nice living being successful at what they do.

Scott is right, and the same for most or all of the other "conservative" talk show hosts as well. But they are dangerous I think because most of their listeners do not understand they are entertaining for ratings and fortune, and their "f*ck off if you don't agree", take no prisoners confrontational style has poisoned the society.
For reasonable and more sincere conservative talk show presentation one must go to one's computer and listen to some Canadian stations, which also tend to balance their conservative hosted shows with liberal ones.

I would like to believe that the answer is no. I would hate to think that such moronic behaviour is representative of a large number of Americans.
I am neither Dem nor Rep...and I can say that, objectively, their immaturity, intollerance and closed mindedness goes a long way to cast a dark shadow over the conservative right. Their views do not offend my politics, but their behaviour certainly does. And I'm surprised that candidates from the Republican side aren't more embarassed by support from their kind...and trying to do something to stop it. THAT would impress me, and demonstrate to me that they are an admirable party.

You forgot Laura Ingram,Mark Levan and a bunch more.
I think they let the TRUTH be known, without them all we would hear is the bias left media,CNN.
I think the negative left wing has done alot of damage to Our country. Instead of earning their pay they have steadily tried to under mind the President since he won the elections.
They (Rush) and the rest are the only positive news outlet we have.
I believe they represent true Conservatives.

I am a conservative and I hate Rush. as for the rest, which should also include Laura Ingram, Michael Medved who are all on the same radio stations, they represent about 90% of all conservatives I would say.
If you actually listen to KRLA or something for a day and hear what they are saying its nothing fanatical I mean its not like fox news, I used to hate o`rielly till i heard him on the radio, he has a lot of more centered views than you would expect.
